"You're not living through us. You're just watching" Love this Kris! So true. a) I absolutely love that you're both doing trapeze - this is amazing and not something I had ever thought of.... Mark's next birthday present maybe?! b) I'm totally with you on the 'book it' mentality. We only walked the Camino because I went and booked the flights and then we had to. You just have to book these things or you'll never do them. Love it!

Thanks Louise! Trapeze is a ton of fun and the first class is easy! I promise you will both love it :)

I love this so much. This is my approach to travel! The comments of "must be nice" are always a bit awkward because yes, it is nice, but also I am not special. I just wanted to go somewhere so I did! I know finances can be a huge barrier, but there are ways to travel without it being completely out of reach. Travel credit cards, house sitting, cooking your own food.. I digress. I need to apply this mindset to other parts of my life too - that baking course, building this substack/blog, backpacking around the PNW. I'm not getting any younger!

When there’s a will….there’s a way! 😁

Just took my first Ukulele class. Leaning to play has been on my list for a while. My husband and I are planning a western US national park vacation this May. More bucket list items to check!

This!! I love this! This attitude is what inspired the "Buy The Tickets" name for my Substack. I wanted, no, needed to travel the world for my wellbeing. So I sold everything I owned, eliminated my bills, and bought the tickets. Haven't looked back in 2.5 years. I hear the same things about people wishing they could do the same and living vicariously, etc. Most people give excuses when I start explaining what it takes to make it happen.

I'm definitely guilty of this in other aspects of life, too. So thanks for a gentle reminder and such an inspiring post!

I signed up for a guided backcountry ski day at the end of the month to learn how to alpine tour/telemark ski. Something I’ve wanted to learn for years (ok let’s be honest, decades).

Awesome! Hope you enjoy it!

Totally hear you (and thank you. “living vicariously” is basically just outsourcing your life. 😄
